Privacy
The short version: the site does not track you. This page says what that means in practice.
Likeness is a static website. It has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no advertising, and it does not use analytics, tracking scripts or advertising cookies. The editors do not know who reads the pages or how many people do.
What the site stores
The site does not set cookies. A small script handles the page index and the bottom navigation, and it stores nothing about you. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts that service to fetch them, and the service may log the request under its own policy. The pages are served by a hosting provider that, like any web host, may keep ordinary technical logs of requests for security and operation; the editors do not use them to identify readers.
If you write to the editors
The contact form does not send anything from the site. It opens your own email program with a message addressed to the editors, and the message is then sent by you through your own email service. If you write, the editors will see your email address and what you wrote, and use them only to read and respond to the message and to correct the site. They are not added to any list, shared or sold. Please do not send medical records or other sensitive personal details; the publication cannot give personal advice. See the contact page if you want to write, or the about page for what the publication is.
Links to other sites
Pages cite sources on other websites, and the page on facial nerve problems also links to a listing for a neurology practice. Once you follow a link, the other site's own privacy practices apply.
Changes
If this practice changes, this page will change first. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
